When Andersen Eye Associates in Saginaw asked Garber Automotive Group if we would like to support local cancer patients by making gift bags, we were honored to say yes. This community-wide initiative started as a suggestion of a thoughtful Andersen Eye employee who has also faced breast cancer. Anderson Eye readily supported their employee’s idea. Now each month, a local business serves as a sponsor to support patients at Covenant Mackinaw in Saginaw.
Not only did Garber say yes because we appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with the community, but also because we share in Andersen Eye Associates’ personal interest in the cause. We, too, have an employee who is a breast cancer survivor, and we knew this would mean a lot to her and our staff who have helped support her through her treatment and recovery journey. This employee was thrilled to be asked to champion this project and help organize and deliver the gift bags.
Garber Automotive is grateful to show our support to the many people in our community who are touched by cancer. We hope that this gesture brought a smile to their faces and some comfort to their hearts in knowing that others care.
